The past 3 months have taken us around Europe from France to Iceland and Italy, gathering footage and stories. Highlights included South France’s surf-crazy Biarritz, Positano on the Amalfi Coast of Italy and the stunningly raw landscape of Iceland. Check out Lava and Ice, a short film documenting our Icelandic adventures…coming soon.

Post-production on The Ride has wrapped up and we’re pretty stoked with the resulting piece – part documentary, part experimental poetry, it is a melding of philosophy, music, art and surf.

The film is being put together with a booklet covering the ideas explored and documenting the production’s evolution. The Ride is due for release in early 2009.

Filming commences in Western Australia for our latest production – The Ride. This film will explore the ocean’s beauty and mystery, it’s continuing hold over the imaginations of humans, and the transforming effect it has on the lives of those that ride its waves. Characters reflect on the ocean, the ideas of synchronicity, flow, sound and ocean waves, improvisation, living together, and the way in which the practice of surfing encompasses them.
