This mural of 12 portraits looks at the ideas of loneliness and frustration in the face of absence - be that a person, place or moment. The layout is designed to be read in a cinematic sense, with a story arc that can be shifted and reversed depending on the viewer's preferences and impulses.

The myth of the place and role of the bikini babe as a subsidiary figure in surfing culture has been exemplified in movie posters and advertisements since the 1950s.
This work aims to recontextualise female surfers and portray their connection with surfing as a very real engagement with the activity.
